Emerging countries, developing countries silicone demand growth potential is greater. The per capita consumption of organosilicon is basically proportional to the per capita GDP. We draw two conclusions :(1) Compared with the per capita silicon demand of 2kg in developed regions and countries, the per capita silicon consumption of China and other emerging market countries is less than 1kg, and that of India and other developing countries is less than 0.2kg. Emerging countries and developing countries still have great potential for improvement. (2) Emerging countries are still in the medium consumption market, while developing countries are still in the relatively low consumption market, which indicates that there is still a big gap in the added value of organosilicone materials per unit mass. With economic development, the consumption upgrade of emerging and developing countries will be inevitable. Emerging countries represented by China, with their rapid economic dividend and favorable industrial chain, will take the lead in breaking through mature silicon materials, and the development of functional silane will also accelerate. Emerging countries and developing countries have a large population base. In the future, with the development of economy, the demand for organic silicon consumption will reflect a huge growth potential. In particular, the Asian market represented by China and India will become the main growth region of organic silicon demand in the world in the future.
Functional silane is widely used in industrial products with high technology content, and will maintain double-digit growth in China in the future. Due to the diversity of the world economic development, the consumption of functional silane has maintained a relatively fast growth, which is positively correlated with the development level of the world economy. The driving force of the growth is mainly driven by the demand of emerging economies and the development of new industrial application fields. Traditional consumer sectors such as rubber processing, adhesives, coatings and plastics processing will continue to make up the majority of functional silane consumer demand in the next five years and will continue to grow steadily. Dripped by the demand of the new energy industry, the composite material field will grow at a fast speed. In 2018, China's total energy consumption of silane was about 171,000 tons. It is estimated that China's functional silane consumption will grow by 10.2% annually from 2018 to 2023, and the domestic consumption will reach 277,800 tons in 2023. Functional silane applications mainly include: composite materials, rubber processing, plastic processing, sealants, adhesives, coatings, metal surface treatment and building waterproof, etc. In the future, the expansion of the domestic market will mainly be driven by composite materials and other application fields.
