Silicone resin is a thermosetting polyorganosiloxane with a highly cross-linked structure. Compared with other organic resins, it has excellent heat resistance, cold resistance, weather resistance, electrical insulation, hydrophobicity and anti-adhesion and demoulding properties due to its special structure. Therefore, it is widely used as high and low temperature insulation paint, heat resistant coating, weather resistant coating, ablative coating and high and low temperature resistance, electric insulation molding plastics, etc.
Silicone resin is generally made of organochlorosilane mixture or organoethoxysilane as raw material, and is prepared by hydrolysis and condensation polymerization in the mixed solvent. The curing of silicone resin is a process in which it is transformed into a thermosetting resin with a three-dimensional network structure and is insoluble and unfused under the action of heating or catalyst. At present, there are many researches on silicone resin at home and abroad. Silicones generally need to be cured at high temperatures, which limits their use.
