Most common silicone resins are composed of polymethylsiloxane and polyphenylsiloxane. The compatibility of phenyl-containing silicone resin and organic resin is better than that of methyl silicone resin. The introduction of phenyl-containing silicone resin in general coatings can improve the temperature resistance and water resistance of general coatings. In the coatings industry, high-performance silicone-containing coatings can be prepared by blending or copolymerizing phenyl-containing silicone resins. As early as the 1960s, Tianjin Paint Factory and Shanghai Resin Factory successfully developed coatings modified with silicone. Developed a variety of very good properties, such as silicone-modified epoxy resins that are both heat resistant and have good adhesion properties.
