Silicone oil emulsion defoamer

Hits: 190 img

Most silicone oil emulsion defoamers are water-in-oil type. According to the different types of silicone oil, silicone oil emulsion defoamers are of the following types:

1. Silicone oil emulsion with dimethyl silicone oil as the main body
This type of defoamer is made of dimethyl silicone oil plus emulsifier and water, and can be widely used in fermentation, food, papermaking, fiber, pharmaceuticals, synthetic resins, etc.

2. Silicone oil emulsion with methylethoxy silicone oil as the main body
This type of defoamer is made of methylethoxy silicone oil and compounding agents.

3. Silicone oil emulsion with ethyl silicone oil as the main body
Organic silicone defoamers are developing in the direction of silicone-polyether block copolymerization (or graft copolymerization). This type of defoamer has the characteristics of both silicone and polyether, so the defoaming power is greatly improved; silicone-polyether copolymer defoamer can also be called self-emulsifying silicone defoamer, which is a hydrophilic ethylene oxide chain or ethylene oxide propylene oxide chain blocked (or grafted) in the silicone molecular chain, so that the hydrophobic siloxane part is combined with the hydrophilic polyether. Such molecules have a large polarity, a large spreading coefficient as a defoamer, can be evenly dispersed in the foaming medium, and have a high defoaming effect. It is a new type of high-efficiency defoamer. This type of self-emulsifying silicone oil that does not require the use of emulsifiers has a very satisfactory defoaming effect for some systems. It is particularly suitable for those occasions where general silicone oil emulsions are not suitable and general silicone oil emulsions are difficult to handle.
