Construction and precautions of epoxy self leveling floor coating

Self leveling is a kind of floor coating construction technology. It is a kind of liquid material mixed with a variety of raw materials. After pouring on the ground, this material can flow according to the uneven situation of the ground, automatically level the ground, and dry it quickly. The solidified ground will form a smooth, flat and seamless floor coating.
Construction preparation
(1) Main materials: epoxy self leveling floor coating, base treatment agent (bottom oil), surface treatment agent, filling repair putty, filler such as quartz sand, quartz powder. At present, the epoxy resin floor coating is mostly two-component, which needs to be fully mixed according to a certain proportion.
(2) Storage and transportation: sealed storage and transportation, avoid package damage and rain. Keep it in a dry and ventilated place, avoid high temperature, do not expose to the sun or freeze it. The storage period is 6-12 months at 5-40 ℃.
(3) Machine preparation: paint brush or roller, water bucket, low-speed mixer (400 RPM) or electric mixing gun, special spikes, trowel, special tooth needle scraper, air release roller. Construction machines and tools shall be cleaned before use. The tools after use shall be cleaned with water within the dry fixation time to avoid affecting the next use.
(4) Base treatment: the construction base shall be flat and rough, and the floating dust and old coating shall be removed to reach the strength above C30, and the water shall be cut off without ponding, clean and dense. It shall not be loose soil, loose particles, gypsum board, paint, plastic, vinyl resin, epoxy resin, and the pollutants such as adhesive residue, oil, paraffin, curing agent and greasy adhere. The newly poured concrete shall not be less than 4 weeks, the shell shall be repaired and leveled, and the dense base surface shall be polished by mechanical method, and the loose particles on the surface shall be cleaned by water washing and vacuum cleaner and dried. Where there is a pit or groove, it shall be scraped and leveled with mortar or putty one day ago, and the superelevation or protruding point shall be removed or ground to save materials and improve the construction quality.

a) Primer: after the primer is prepared, evenly brush it on the base surface. The coating area of 1kg primer is about 5m2. Apply self leveling primer on the treated concrete base with paint brush or roller, apply two layers, and add another primer on the old base. The second layer can be applied after the first layer is dry (the interval time is about 30 minutes). The amount of primer is about 0.18kg/m2, and the construction capacity of each barrel is about 110m2. Carry out self leveling construction after the primer is dried.
b) Slurry mixing: mix the epoxy resin self leveling floor coating with the diluent according to the proportion, until it is uniform without particles and has good fluidity. Continue to mix for 3-4 minutes to make the slurry uniform, and use it after it is still for about 10 minutes. Mixing can be carried out in batches.
c) Scraping the surface layer: after the bottom oil is half dry, the slurry can be poured, and it can be expanded with the aid of toothed pushing knife or scraper, and the thickness of the thin layer can be controlled, and then it can be treated with the defoaming roller to form a high and flat floor. Pour the evenly mixed self leveling mortar on the base surface which has been coated. The required thickness must be achieved for one time. Then spread it with a trowel or a special toothed needle scraper, and then deflate it with an air release roller until it flows by itself. After the surface has congealed, it does not need to be applied again.
d) If the part is too high and the slurry cannot flow to, it can be scraped with a trowel. The leveling construction time is better to be completed within 30 minutes. The machines and tools after construction shall be washed with water immediately.
e) Maintenance: when the temperature is 20 ℃, it can walk for 6-8 hours, and when the temperature is lower than 5 ℃, it needs 1-2 days. After curing, the surface shall be cured with wax seal or brush surface treatment agent, and it can be used 2 weeks later. The minimum maintenance period shall not be less than 1 week.
matters needing attention:
1) The specific construction shall refer to the design requirements and product instructions.
2) Ordinary self leveling materials can not be directly used in the surface wear-resistant layer.
3) Do not carry out self leveling construction when the temperature is lower than 5 ℃. The construction temperature is 5-35 ℃, and the best temperature is 15-30 ℃. Before hardening, avoid wind and sun.
4) There are bumps or splashes during construction, which can be skimmed with a trowel after initial setting.
5) Other operations shall be carried out on the self leveling when it is hard and can walk. If the slurry is hard before use, it shall be discarded and cannot be mixed with water for reuse.
6) If there is floor heating device, it shall be closed, and self leveling construction can be carried out after the ground is cooled.
7) The amount of ingredients should match the construction amount to avoid waste. One time ingredients should be used up, do not add water in the middle to dilute, so as not to affect the quality. According to the construction experience, it is appropriate to prepare 5kg at a time.
8) No pedestrians are allowed on the flow plane within the specified time.
9) The paint shall not be cross contaminated during use, and the materials not mixed shall be sealed for storage.
