Dispersing nano-scale packing particles in the chain segments of silicone polymer by high-speed mixer [33] can improve the compatibility with silicone resin and improve the antifouling performance of the coating [34]. Among them, nano silica is the most widely used. Because it has a similar molecular structure with silicone material (the main chain contains Si-O-Si bond) [35], Xuan Bo et al. [36] synthesized silicone modified acrylic resin through free radical polymerization, and further added nano SiO2 and nano TiO2 to the silicone modified acrylic resin. By FT-IR analysis, the silicon modified acrylic resin contains SiO, Si-C and other characteristic peaks, indicating that it has successfully participated in the reaction. Through the analysis of the contact Angle of the film, when the ratio of nano-sio2 and nano-tio2 is 1∶1 and the content of nano-tio2 is 16%, the contact Angle is the largest, 149°, indicating that the composite film has good hydrophobicity. For the mechanical properties of the paint film, the introduction of nanoparticles makes the hardness of the paint film up to 6H. Through salt spray performance test, the paint film containing nanoparticles has excellent corrosion resistance. Qi Kaiyue et al. [37] synthesized silicone modified acrylic resin using vinyl trimethoxysilane and acrylic monomers as raw materials, and added nano-silica to silicone modified acrylic resin. Also through FTIR analysis, the double bond of acrylate was opened and grafted into the main chain of silicone resin successfully. This paper focuses on the effect of nano-sio2 on the properties of the composite resin system: the increase of nano-sio2 can increase the contact Angle of the paint film, improve the water resistance of the paint film, but too high silicon content makes the performance of the paint film reduced, the possible reason is the agglomeration of nanoparticles. When the content of epoxy resin increased, the adhesion of composite resin increased, and the hardness increased to 6H, but the increase of epoxy resin makes the water resistance of paint film decreased.
