The main production method of silane coupling agent is indirect method. The indirect method takes trichlorosilane as the main raw material, and reacts with methanol, ethyl alcohol, chloropropyl propylene, acetylene and other raw materials respectively to generate trialkoxy silane, chloropropyl trioxy silane, vinyl trioxy silane, propyl trioxy silane and other intermediates. The intermediate is then reacted with sodium methacrylate, allyl glycidyl ether, polysulfide, liquid nitrogen, methanol, ethanol, butanone oxime, etc., to obtain various functional silanes. Such as epoxy silane, acryloxysilane, sulfur-containing silane, aminosilane and vinyl trimethoxy silane, vinyl triethoxy silane, vinyl tributyl ketone oxime group functional silane. The advantage of the indirect method is that the output is larger and part of the by-products can be recycled, such as the recycling of hydrogen chloride. However, the indirect method has long production process, large input of raw materials and equipment, chlorine pollution and corrosion problems. The main production method of silane crosslinking agent is direct method. Using silicon powder, methanol or ethanol as raw materials, direct synthesis of trialkoxy silane (trimethoxy silane, triethoxy silane, etc.), and further reaction to generate functional silanes such as cyclooxy silane, acrylloxy silane and tetraethoxy silane. The direct method has the advantages of shorter synthesis steps, less chlorine contamination, lower impurity content and higher resource utilization. However, the disadvantage of the direct method is that only a small amount of silane can be produced by the direct method, and the quantity of the product is limited. The main types of silane coupling agents are sulfur-containing silane coupling agents, aminosilanes, epoxy-silanes, vinylsilanes, and methacryloxysilanes.
