Preparation of polysilazane and its application in coatings

Organosilicate compounds have many unique and excellent physical and chemical properties, which has long attracted widespread attention, and the study of polysilazanes with Si-N bond structure has also made great progress in recent decades. Although the research focus of polysilazanes is only in ceramic synthesis, high temperature resistant silicone rubber and composite materials, its potential applications in coatings are also becoming more and more popular. Polysilazanes contain silica-nitrogen bonds and nitrogen-hydrogen chains. These chemical bonds endow it with many special properties. Although the mechanism of their action is not very clear, these properties play a very important role in coatings. The preparation of polysilazanes and its application in coatings are described below.
