Silicone pressure sensitive adhesive is a special adhesive composed of silicone resin (commonly used MQ silicone), silicone rubber, catalyst, cross-linking agent and other additives.
Because the solvent type contains a large number of volatile organic compounds, during curing, solvent volatilization is easy to cause serious pollution to the environment. At present, environmental protection has been paid more and more attention. Organic silicon pressure sensitive adhesive industry is taking environmental protection and low-cost products as the development mainstream, and new products such as biodegradable and radiation curing as the research direction. The molecular weight of MQ resin has a great influence on the bonding properties of pressure-sensitive adhesive, because the change of molecular weight makes the viscosity and cohesion strength of pressure-sensitive adhesive change. When the molecular weight is high, the cohesion strength of pressure-sensitive adhesive is high and the holding viscosity is good. The molecular weight is low, and the viscosity is low, which can improve the interfacial adhesion, but the cohesion strength of the polymer is low, and the cohesive failure is easy to occur when the polymer is peelled. When the molecular weight distribution of MQ resin is wide and the average molecular weight of MQ resin is about 3000, it can be used to prepare pressure sensitive adhesive.
