Antiperspirants: Cyclic siloxane has some desirable properties that make it an ideal component of antiperspirants.
Most important for its volatility and low heat of vaporization, cyclosiloxanes are volatile at room temperature and evaporate faster even at skin temperatures.
When used as a base fluid in antiperspirant, the active component is brought to the skin to form a smooth film, and then evaporates, leaving no residue, without discomfort and good antiperspirant effect, which greatly improves its performance.
In aerosol antiperspirants, cyclic siloxanes eliminate valve clogging and reduce the viscosity of antiperspirant salts, which do not stain.
Deodorant:
The current typical deodorant USES as much as 80% of ethanol and propylene glycol, or with both and its components have many shortcomings, ethanol have a drying effect on skin, but can cause different degree of stimulation, propylene glycol also can produce stimulation to the skin or allergies, especially when formula of concentration more than 10%, and basic non-toxic liquid silicone,
It also does not cause a stinging sensation on injured and worn skin.
Therefore, the deodorant made from silicone oil and cyclic siloxane can overcome the above characteristics, at the same time, improve the lubricity of the preparation, make the deodorant particularly soft, control the generation of apocrine sweat glands, so as to achieve the purpose of deodorant.
Polydimethylsiloxane polyol copolymer can improve the compatibility of many common deodorant materials with other ingredients.
