There are many types of preservatives on the market. The analysis of its active components can be divided into the following categories: isothiazolinones, formaldehyde releases, benzimidazoles, substituted aromatics, organic bromines, organic amines, piperazines and so on. Common preservatives are:

5-chloro-2-methyl-4isothiazolin-3-one / 2-methyl-4isothiazolin-3-one, the English name is 5-chloro-2methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one / 2 methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one, referred to as CMIT / MIT, is a commonly used preservative in tanks with high cost performance. Examples of such preservatives include: Kathon LXE, Acticide MV, Biocide K 10 SG, Acticide F, Bactrachem W15, Bactrachem TS 15, Huake-88, SD-818-1, SD-818-2, etc.
Formaldehyde-based preservatives are released. Formalin is well known as a preservative. In fact, formalin is a 35% -40% formaldehyde aqueous solution. Due to the strict requirements for free formaldehyde content in domestic wall coatings, formaldehyde release (FR) is rarely used in interior walls. Belonging to the release of formaldehyde preservatives such as: N-formal, O-formal, O-formal releases formaldehyde faster than N-formal.
