In 1951, the scientific research staff led by Yang Donglin of the Beijing Chemical Industry Experiment of the Ministry of Heavy Industry used the Grignard method to synthesize organosilicon monomers and trial-produce silicone resins, creating a precedent for China's organosilicon industry and application research. Until the end of the 1970s, China's organic silicon industry has been in its infancy and experienced a long process from scratch.
