Generally, various mixtures of methyltrichlorosilane, dimethyldichlorosilane, phenyltrichlorosilane, diphenyldichlorosilane or methylphenyldichlorosilane are used in the presence of an organic solvent such as toluene in Hydrolysis at lower temperature gives acidic hydrolysate.
