US natural coconut oil skin care brand Kopari Beauty completed $20 million Series A financing, Unilever

On the 16th, the US natural coconut oil skin care brand Kopari Beauty announced the completion of the $20 million Series A financing, the world's largest consumer goods investment fund L Catterton's North American fund Growth Fund led the European consumer goods giant Unilever (Unilever)'s investment department Unilever Ventures and the US private equity fund, the University Growth Fund, participated.


Kopari will use this financing to strengthen product development, upgrade production capacity, and continue to expand the retail and international markets, upgrade the brand subscription platform, and improve the e-commerce platform interface and user experience.


Kopari was founded in 2015 by Hawaii-certified organic chef Kiana Cabell, beauty expert Gigi Goldman and health entrepreneur James Brennan, based in San Diego, USA. Kopari products feature natural coconut oil, which is free of sulfates, parabens, silicones and phthalates. It produces natural pure coconut oil and other natural ingredients from the Philippines through sustainable production techniques. Blended together to create a range of natural skin care products.






In January 2017, L Catterton teamed up with Ashton Kutcher, Jared Leto, Karlie Kloss, Hilary Duff, Shay Mitchell and other star investors to participate in Kopari's early investments.
