Common pressure sensitive adhesive

Hits: 858 img

At present, pressure sensitive adhesives commonly used are mainly rubber type pressure sensitive adhesives, acrylate type pressure sensitive adhesives and silicone pressure sensitive adhesives.

  1. Rubber type pressure sensitive adhesive. Rubber type pressure sensitive adhesive is the most widely used pressure sensitive adhesive. The rubber used is natural rubber, synthetic rubber and recycled rubber. The pressure-sensitive adhesive with natural rubber as a binder has good compatibility, pressure sensitivity, creep resistance, poor aging resistance, and large hardness change. Pressure-sensitive adhesives made of synthetic rubber as a binder have better heat resistance and durability than natural rubber, but have poor bonding strength. Recycled rubber that uses recycled rubber as a binder can only use natural rubber. The reclaimed rubber of synthetic rubber has a poor effect and should not be used. For pressure-sensitive adhesives that use natural rubber as a binder, natural rubber and synthetic rubber can be used in combination, partially vulcanized and crosslinked, graft modified or modified with a suitable reinforcing filler. These methods can improve the aging resistance of the adhesive layer and increase the service life of the adhesive.

  2. Acrylate type pressure sensitive adhesive. Acrylate type pressure sensitive adhesive is a pressure sensitive adhesive which is second only to rubber type, and its adhesive is a copolymer of acrylate and other vinyl monomers. The comonomer is divided into a main monomer, a secondary monomer, and a functional monomer. The main monomer is butyl acrylate or the like, which serves to provide toughness and adhesion. The secondary monomer is methyl methacrylate, styrene or the like, which is a rigid monomer and provides rigidity and cohesive strength. The functional monomer is a monomer containing other functional groups, for example, hydroxyethyl methacrylate, etc., and can exhibit cross-linking during polymerization to further improve adhesion, cohesion, and heat creep resistance. This scientific monomer combination enables the copolymer itself to have the basic properties of a pressure sensitive adhesive, so the acrylate pressure sensitive adhesive is almost single component. Compared with the rubber type pressure sensitive adhesive, the acrylate type pressure sensitive adhesive has excellent weather resistance and heat resistance without an anti-aging agent, good oil resistance, transparent rubber layer and no phase separation and migration phenomenon. Since various polar groups can be introduced by copolymerization, the intermolecular secondary force is increased, and thus the bonding strength and cohesive strength are relatively large.

  3. Silicone pressure sensitive adhesive. Silicone pressure sensitive adhesive is made of silicone rubber and silicone resin. Silicone rubber is used as the basic component of pressure sensitive adhesive, and silicone resin is used as tackifier. The performance of pressure sensitive adhesives varies with the ratio of the two. In the formulation, the silicone has a relative molecular mass of about 1.5 x 10, but the silicone resin is suitably selected to require active end groups at the ends. Commonly used are methyl silicone resin, methyl phenyl silicone resin, phenyl vinyl silicone resin. They all have good thermal stability, and the silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive has good bonding performance, and is bonded to the aluminum sheet with a strength of 21 MPa. After 260 ° C, 7 d, the strength is unchanged, and it is used as a backing material for the silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive. There are polyester, polyester and so on.
