Factors affecting the resilience of silicone rubber (1)

Hits: 187 img

Silicone rubber refers to a rubber whose main chain is composed of alternating silicon and oxygen atoms, and the silicon atom is usually attached to two organic groups. It contains carbon, hydrogen, oxygen and silicon. There are various formulations, which can be found in two parts or single polymers. Some silicones contain fillers to increase the performance of silicone.
Silicones can be divided into three types:
· Solid silicone rubber (HTV)
· Liquid silicone rubber (LSR)
· Room temperature vulcanization (RTV)
Silicone rubber has excellent heat resistance, cold resistance, dielectric properties, ozone resistance and atmospheric aging resistance.
The outstanding performance is the wide operating temperature, which can be used for a long time at -60℃ (or lower temperature) to +250℃ (or higher temperature).
It has excellent physiological inertness, non-toxic, odorless, non-corrosive, transparent, easy to color, anti-coagulation, good compatibility with the body, etc.
It has a wide hardness range, 10-90 Shore hardness, chemical resistance, good sealing performance, and compression deformation resistance.
Compared with conventional organic elastomers, silicone rubber is also particularly easy to process and manufacture. Silicone rubber flows easily, so it can be molded, calendered, and extruded with low energy consumption.
Therefore, it has a very important position in polymer materials and is widely used in aviation, cables, electronics, electrical appliances, chemicals, and other industries.
With the development of various industries, people have higher requirements for the application conditions, safety and hygiene of products in different fields, and have higher requirements for the transparency and resilience of silicone rubber products.
