Wherein R is Ph(phenyl); R is Me, Ph; m=0, 1, 2, 3... Currently, commercially available methylphenyl silicone oils are roughly classified into five grades according to their structure and phenyl content:
grade
Phenyl mole fraction (%)
Low phenyl silicone oil
5-10
Phenyl silicone oil
25
High base silicone oil
45
High phenyl low polymerization silicone oil
>45
Crosslinked phenyl silicone oil

1. Product Features:
Methyl phenyl silicone oil has a higher viscosity temperature coefficient, lower freezing point and flash point than the same viscosity dimethyl silicone oil, and the compression resistance changes more rapidly under pressure. Low phenyl silicone oil has remarkable low temperature resistance and fluidity at -70 °C. As the phenyl mole fraction increases, the silicone oil has improved high temperature resistance, radiation resistance, lubricity, and solubility in an organic solvent, but the low temperature resistance is lowered.
Silicone oil with a high phenyl mole fraction is oxidized when heated above 250 °C, and the viscosity is increased; especially for silicone oil with a phenyl mole fraction of 50%, the stabilizer may be used at 300-350 ° C for several hundred hours.
2. Application of different types of phenyl silicone oil:
Phenyl silicone oil type
Applications and fields
Low phenyl silicone oil
Highly cold resistant
Medium phenyl silicone oil and high phenyl silicone oil
Lubrication of heat treatment baths for metal products, high temperature heating oils, gas chromatography carriers, high and low temperature lubricants for electrical and electronic equipment, bearings, etc.
Phenyl vinyl silicone oil and phenyl hydrogen silicone oil
Preparation of high temperature resistant radiation resistant molding silicone rubber
Hydroxy terminated phenyl silicone oil
Fabric finishing agent
Methyl phenyl silicone oil
Additives for skin care products, hair conditioners, etc., LED package

3. Typical applications:
3.1 Cold and heat carriers:
Methyl phenyl silicone oil is resistant to high temperature and high ignition point. It is suitable for use as a laboratory heating oil bath oil and as a high temperature heat transfer medium for factories. In addition, because of its low pour point and low viscosity increase at low temperatures, it can be applied to cold carriers.
