Preface
In 2020 1~2, novel coronavirus pneumonia outbreak, the international shipping market was down, and the new ship orders decreased sharply. China's shipbuilding completion volume and orders for hand-held ships decreased year-on-year. Influenced by the low base in the same period last year, China's new orders for ships increased year-on-year. The main economic indicators, such as the total industrial output value of key monitoring enterprises, decreased year on year.
1、 One increase and two decrease in the three major shipbuilding indicators in China
From January to February, 4.67 million dwt of shipbuilding was completed nationwide, down 26.7% year on year. 3.32 million dwt of new ship orders, up 41.4% year on year. At the end of February, the order of hand-held ships was 80.31 million dwt, down 5.7% year on year, down 1.7% from the end of 2018.
From January to February, 4.53 million deadweight tons of export ships were completed nationwide, down 25.7% year on year; 3.24 million deadweight tons of export ship orders were accepted, up 58% year on year; 73.97 million deadweight tons of hand-held export ships were ordered at the end of February, down 3.9% year on year. The export ships accounted for 97.1%, 97.7% and 92.1% of the national shipbuilding completion, new orders and hand-held orders respectively.
2、 Indicators of key monitoring enterprises
1. Three major indicators of shipbuilding enterprises: increase and decrease
From January to February, 5.57 million dwt were completed in 50 key monitoring shipbuilding enterprises, down 25.8% year on year. 3.3 million dwt of new ship orders, up 53.5% year on year. At the end of February, orders for hand-held ships reached 77.84 million dwt, down 5.9% year on year.
From January to February, 50 key monitoring shipbuilding enterprises completed 4.44 million deadweight tons of export ships, down 24.1% year-on-year; received 3.23 million deadweight tons of export ship orders, up 72.7% year-on-year; at the end of February, orders for hand-held export ships were 72 million deadweight tons, down 4.9% year-on-year. Export ships accounted for 97.2%, 97.9% and 92.5% of the completed, newly received and hand-held orders of key shipbuilding enterprises respectively.
2. Total industrial output value decreased year on year
From January to February, the total industrial output value of 75 key monitoring enterprises in the shipbuilding industry was 33.2 billion yuan, down 26.8% year on year. Among them, the output value of ship manufacturing was 15.6 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 27%; the output value of ship supporting was 2.53 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 31.1%; the output value of ship repair was 2.1 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 8.9%.
3. Year on year decline in ship export value
From January to February, the export value of 75 key monitoring enterprises in the shipbuilding industry reached 11.8 billion yuan, down 28.2% year on year. Among them, the output value of ship manufacturing is 9.8 billion yuan, down 30% year on year; the output value of ship supporting is 510 million yuan, down 33% year on year; the output value of ship repair is 1.26 billion yuan, up 7% year on year.
4. Year on year decline in economic benefits of enterprises
From January to February, 75 key monitoring enterprises in the shipbuilding industry achieved main business income of 21.1 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 8.9%; total profit of 180 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 21%.
3、 International market share of three indicators of shipbuilding
From January to February, China's shipbuilding completion, new orders and hand-held orders accounted for 29.4%, 65% and 46.3% of the world market share respectively.
