On April 1, Lamborghini officially announced that it will transform some departments of its super run production base in the near future to be used in the production of medical surgical masks and resin glass protective masks. It is novel coronavirus pneumonia, which is manufactured in Lamborghini, Italy, Gata Poloni, and will be donated to Bologna related hospitals to help fight the new crown pneumonia.
The production of medical surgical masks will be undertaken by Lamborghini's employees in charge of interior decoration production and special customization projects, with a daily output of 1000 masks; 3D printers in carbon fiber production workshops and R & D departments are used to produce medical protective masks, with a daily output of 200 sets.
This anti epidemic assistance initiative has been approved and supported by Emilia Romagna regional government of Italy. Lamborghini's project will be jointly promoted with the University of Bologna. It is reported that the medical supplies produced by Lamborghini will be supervised by the school of medicine and surgery of the University of Bologna before being sent to the hospital.
Mr. Stefano Domenicali, chief executive of Lamborghini, said that in this sudden outbreak, Lamborghini hoped to make a practical contribution to the epidemic prevention work. The company has been cooperating with local hospitals for many years, providing professional consultation for employee health plan, and carrying out relevant research and development projects. It is hoped that the production of medical equipment will contribute to the hospital's fight against the epidemic.
