Sicomin (France Marseille), an expert in epoxy resin, has established a partnership with greenboats (Bremen, Germany), a manufacturer of marine natural fiber composite materials, to provide greenbox bio based resin for the flax 27 speedboat of greenboats, which is the most complete natural fiber composite material project that the company has realized so far. In addition, sicomin indicated that its hand lamination and impregnation processes had been optimized for natural fiber composites.
Flax 27 is an 8.2-meter classic day sailing boat (not for overnight sailing) designed by naval architect judel / vrolijk & Co. The hull, deck and interior structure are infused with very low viscosity greenbox infugegreen 810 resin and flax fiber-reinforced fabric from xikonin. The transparent natural fiber laminate made by vacuum pouring and sicomin resin is said to have excellent mechanical properties. Infugreen 810 can choose various curing agents to adjust the curing time, and has also passed the dnv-gl certification.
For more than ten years, greenboats? Has been producing innovative natural fiber composite materials in Bremen factory, specializing in manufacturing a series of marine and industrial products. The company's mission is to use 100% renewable and sustainable raw materials in sandwich composite structure.
"Our goal is to really get people excited about natural fiber composites. Sicomin's greenbox products help us create sustainable composites without compromising performance or appearance. " Friedrich Johann Deimann, founder of greenpots, said.
Located in Xinshen flax village, Zhenze, a silk town in China, the whole flax industry chain not only has a first-line flax spinning factory and weaving factory, but also extends to cultural creativity, scene experience, maker space, theme hotel, offline retail and so on. It can be said that it is a flax ecosystem, where a more direct, richer and comprehensive flax fabric experience is located.
