The new resin must be pretreated before being sent to the exchanger. This is because the new resin often contains a small amount of low polymer that has not been polymerized and substances that have not participated in the polymerization reaction. When the resin contacts with water, acid, alkali or other solutions, the above substances will transfer into the solution and affect the water quality of the effluent. In addition to these organic substances, it may also contain inorganic impurities such as iron, copper and lead. Therefore, the new resin should be pretreated before use to remove trees Soluble impurities in fat. At the same time, the pretreatment can not only improve the stability of the resin, but also activate the resin and improve its working exchange capacity.
Pretreatment of new resin
1. The cation exchanger that needs to be replaced shall be taken out manually.
2. The maintenance personnel shall check the internal conditions of the exchanger and handle the abnormal conditions found.
3. After the exchanger returns to normal use, install the processed new resin into the exchanger according to the required quantity,
4. A. put the resin into the container, and backwash the resin in the container with small flow operation to remove the remaining substances that did not participate in the reaction in the resin production process and the impurities mixed in the manufacturing process, and backwash until it is drained.
B. Soak the resin in 5% HCI solution for 4 hours, then wash with water to neutral. The purpose of acid treatment is to remove inorganic impurities from the resin.
C. Take the method of temporary connecting pipe to connect the alkali inlet pipeline of cation bed pretreatment, soak the resin in 2% NaOH solution for 4 hours, drain the alkali solution and wash the resin until the drainage is close to neutral. Alkali treatment is mainly for the removal of organic matters from resin.
D. After the above treatment, the original regeneration system is recovered, and the bed body is regenerated in normal steps with large backwash regeneration dose, and then it can be put into operation.
Precautions for pretreatment:
A. The new resin shall be prevented from dehydration before pretreatment, otherwise it can not be directly treated. For the normal new resin without dehydration, it can be directly washed with water until the drainage is colorless and without hardness before pretreatment.
B. Generally, the volume of the soaking solution is twice the volume of the resin in order to fully soak the resin.
C. For a small amount of resin replacement, it can be carried out in the external anti-corrosion container, and it should be avoided to directly fill the new resin without pretreatment into the exchanger.
D. For the exchanger with new resin pretreatment, large backwash must be carried out before regeneration, and small backwash shall be carried out before large backwash.
