D. Direct aesthetic repair of composite resin - resin lamination and stacking
1. Heat the resin at 39 degrees. Resin heating can increase the fluidity of the resin, increase the fit with the hole wall, reduce the bubbles and help the resin to shape better.

2. Firstly, the palatal / lingual enamel layer is piled on the silicone rubber guide plate. The thickness of the enamel layer must be close to the thickness of the natural enamel in the filling part.
Then, the enamel composite resin of the same type as the repair of the palatal side wall was used to repair the adjacent surface with resin molding sheet and wedge.

3. Layered stacking of dentin. The delamination of dentin repair is related to the size of preparation: 1 layer of stacking for small defect, 2 layers of stacking for medium defect and 3 layers of stacking for large defect.
Choose the color of dentin resin according to the defect size, and pay attention to be consistent with the tooth saturation. Taking the large defect as an example, ud4 was used to repair the neck, UD3 was used to cover ud4 and extend towards the cutting edge, ud2 also covered UD3. All of the three resins are laminated with the shoulder. Vanini recommends choosing a darker resin when you are not sure about the color.

In turn, the dentin resin ud4, UD3 and ud2 were used for layered stacking
4. After the dentin restoration, before filling the buccal enamel, we need to complete the personality characteristics, white enhancement and milk light reproduction.
The most important features are the mastoid and margin, which need to be reproduced in white and amber (IWS and OA).
The characteristics of mastoid and edge were made with the white reinforced spot resin (IWS) and amber opalescent resin (OA).

After the mastoid and marginal features are completed, the natural blue opalescent resin (OBN) is filled between the mastoid and between the cutting edge and dentin to form the opalescent effect and produce the natural luster.

Finally, the enhancement features identified in the color chart are reproduced with white translucent composite resin IWS, Im or IW.

5. Restore the labial enamel. It is important to remember that when using a variety of composite resins to repair dentin, characteristics, opalescence and enhanced light, enough space must be left for the buccal enamel layer, which is thin at the neck, thick at the cutting end, with natural vertical profile, showing a natural tooth shape. The final step of the delamination technique is to fill the buccal enamel layer. The buccal enamel layer needs to reproduce the transition line, showing the large surface structure (ridge, groove and concave) and fine texture. The enamel growth line is brushed with a brush.

6. Once the last layer of enamel is solidified, it is recommended that a layer of glycerol gel be used to cover the prosthesis before the dressing and polishing is done. Then a light cure is applied to eliminate the oxygen inhibition layer and achieve the complete polymerization of the composite resin.
E. Composite resin direct aesthetic repair - finishing & polishing
Finishing & polishing is an important part of composite resin bonding repair. The purpose of shape modification and polishing is to remove the low solidified layer on the surface of the prosthesis, improve the glossiness of the prosthesis surface, so as to reduce the accumulation of plaque and prolong the life of the prosthesis. The modification of composite resin is to make the prosthesis and natural teeth mixed together, to present a natural appearance and make the surface of the prosthesis smooth. Polishing is to make the surface of the prosthesis present luster and increase the aesthetic comfort.
Generally, emery drill needle, carbon steel drill needle, sand drill needle and coarse emery dressing plate and strip are used for shaping and polishing. Polishing uses diamond polishing disc, polishing strip, rubber cup and rubber tip with more fine particles. In order to make the prosthesis brighter, alumina or diamond polishing paste can be used for further polishing.
Vanini recommends the following procedures for shape dressing and polishing: medium grain emery beveling - shape and length adjustment - adjacent surface of polishing strip and needle polishing - long leaves and grooves are produced by needle grinding, green stone needle grinding - emery polishing paste (3-1 μ m) and wool brush polishing at low speed - alumina polishing paste and dish polishing felt, low speed first and then high speed, no water cooling Pressure polishing.
