UV adhesive has been paid more and more attention in the adhesive industry with the characteristics of high efficiency, environmental protection and energy saving, and the application fields involved are also increasing day by day. Recently, we have completed product upgrading and launched a two functional polyurethane acrylate lucure8674, which is specially developed and applied to the structural bonding of plastic substrate.
Runao Chemical Technology Center has made a series of detailed tests on the resin, which is formulated with a small amount of monomers and an appropriate amount of initiator, mainly to investigate the curing speed, adhesive strength, cohesion, compatibility, high temperature and humidity resistance of the resin. Lucure8674 has the following characteristics.
One is bond strength. Bond strength is the stress required when the adhesive system is broken. It is an important index in the adhesive technology. In the experiment, lucure8674 resin was coated between transparent PC and PC, PC and PVC, and then bonded. After UV curing, the shear strength of PC and PVC can reach 9.2mpa and 8.5MPa respectively. It can be seen from the experimental data that lucure8674 has excellent adhesive strength.
In the second cohesion experiment, we injected the UV glue with lucure8674 as the main body into the dumbbell mold, and formed the adhesive strip after UV curing. A series of test data are obtained by tensile test on the rubber strip, and the results are shown in the table below. The elongation of fsp8788 can reach about 200%, and its tensile strength can reach 32Mpa. It has strong cohesion and excellent toughness.
With the development of adhesive technology, many applications require higher and higher performance of adhesives, and high temperature and humidity resistance is one of the most important test indexes. The initial bonding strength of many adhesive resins on the market is very high. However, after boiling or high temperature and humidity resistance test, the bonding strength drops significantly, and even the adhesive layer turns white or falls off directly. Lucure8674 has good hydrophobicity, water absorption of about 1.8%, and high double bond conversion. When lucure8674 was used as the main mature formulation system and tested at 85 ℃ / 85% RH for 1000 h, the adhesive layer did not change and the adhesive strength slightly decreased. In the boiling water resistance test, the adhesive layer will not appear the phenomenon of fogging and whitening. A series of tests show that lucure8674 has outstanding high temperature and humidity resistance, which can meet the needs of various high-end applications.
Four compatibilities many UV adhesive resins have some compatibilities. Compatibility with resins or monomers will lead to fogging and transparency degradation. Lucure8674 has good compatibility with a variety of monomers (such as iboa, THFA, Acmo, etc.), and with most acrylate resins. After mutual dissolution, the system is clear and transparent, without turbidity, stratification and other phenomena.
In the five curing speed market, many adhesive resins with good toughness and high elongation have the problems of slow curing speed and low crosslinking density, while lucure8674 has good reactivity, which can be dried at 500mj / cm2 energy, and has high double bond conversion rate, which can meet the curing requirements of traditional mercury lamp and led light source, and has a wide construction window.
