Novoset has signed a license agreement with shinyue Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. of Japan to manufacture and sell modified hydrocarbon resin based on novoset intellectual property.
These new resins have ultra-low dielectric loss at high frequency, low CTE, very low moisture absorption, high Tg and excellent long-term thermal oxidation stability at 250 ℃.
These products are intended for a range of fifth generation (5g) applications, such as chip packaging, underfill, molded plastics, millimeter wave base station infrastructure (digital and RF signals) for smartphones, high-level counter printed circuit board (PCB) servers, cloud computing routers, and semiconductor packaging.
These resins are designed specifically to support the equipment needed for innovative next-generation 5g technologies such as advanced driving aid systems (ADAS).
Due to their extremely low moisture absorption and other chemical resistance at high temperature and high frequency, these products are suitable for various demanding aviation applications with strict requirements for ultra-low dielectric constant, low moisture absorption and high Tg.
Due to its low viscosity and stability, it is suitable for various aviation processes, such as resin infusion, hot-melt prepreg, filament winding (FW) and other wet processes.

The resins were developed at novoset technology center in Berkeley heights, New Jersey.
Under this agreement, shinyue Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. will manufacture these resins worldwide to meet the needs of the relevant electronic industry, and will sell them under the name of SLK.
Novoset will sell these products to aviation, oil and gas and other industries, and continuously improve and expand the product range according to the market demand.
Details of each new 5g related product produced by shinyue Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. are as follows:
1. Quartz fiber cloth (Product Name: sqx Series)
The product has excellent performance in terms of transmission loss (degradation degree of electric signal), such as DK (dielectric constant) less than 3.7, DF (dissipation coefficient) less than 0.001, and linear expansion coefficient less than 1ppm / ℃.
Its low loss performance is most suitable for applications such as circuit board core materials, which provides important support for the next generation 5g to the requirements of ultra-high speed communication materials.
At the same time, the product also shows its excellent performance in fiber-reinforced plastics for antenna and radome.
This kind of quartz cloth is composed of very fine quartz wires, which can be made into a thickness less than 20 μ M. it can meet the new demand for thinner laminated circuit boards.
In addition, quartz has the characteristic of "little α - ray", which can prevent equipment failure caused by radiation ray.
2. Thermosetting ultra-low dielectric resin (Product Name: SLK Series)
The product has low dielectric property, high strength and high elasticity close to fluorocarbon resin.
Through this kind of thermosetting resin, the lowest level of dielectric property is achieved: the dielectric constant of high frequency (10-80ghz) is less than 2.5, and the dielectric loss factor is less than 0.0025.
Due to its low moisture absorption and high bonding strength to low profile copper (low roughness copper foil), it is also suitable for the fields of flexible copper clad laminate (FCCL) and as an adhesive.
The company also plans to develop low dielectric packaging materials and low dielectric high thermal conductive adhesives.
Xinyue Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. and novoset Co., Ltd. have reached a license agreement on high temperature resistant and ultra-low moisture absorption medium resin.
Adding these products to its product line will consolidate its position in the market of CCL, rigid laminated circuit board (multilayer integrated circuit board) and communication base station antenna and radome requiring high heat resistance and reliability.
3. Heat sink (Product Name: SAHF Series)
In order to meet the growing market demand for 5g, the company has re launched the newly developed adhesive sheet products, which are combined with heat dissipation materials and a hot-melt adhesive sheet.
The products of sinyue Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. provide a wide range of thermal conductivity from 5W / MK to 100W / MK, which makes them very suitable for power semiconductors and automotive fields requiring high reliability.
