Hits: 3890574 2020-03-26

Arkema's Sartomer business line will launch liquid resin solutions to improve composite performance during the JEC world 2020.
In addition, Sartomer and continuous composites will jointly demonstrate additive manufacturing of composite materials.
Through the combination of continuous composites' patented continuous fiber 3D printing solution and Sartomer's cutting-edge n3xtdimension light curing resin solution, the two companies are accelerating the use of composite additive manufacturing methods to create a non autoclave composite production process that is expected to open up new application opportunities without mold.
Sumeet Jain, global senior director of 3D printing at Arkema, said: "we look forward to sharing this revolutionary and scalable technology that leverages our material expertise with composite professionals during JEC world."
Tyler Alvarado, CEO of continuous composites, said: "the combination of continuous fiber 3D printing and Sartomer's advanced thermosetting resin greatly reduces the cost and improves the efficiency of composite manufacturing. At the same time, it can realize complex shapes and promote composite manufacturing to a new dimension of innovation."
At 5-v39's Arkema stand, Sartomer will also showcase advanced liquid resin solutions to help customers achieve performance and sustainability goals.
These products include:
★ crosslinking agent and active diluent can improve mechanical properties and reduce VOC content of traditional composite system;
★ sarbio's special bio renewable solution for bio composite materials: active diluent, cross-linking agent and adhesive;
★ engineering solution for UV hot pultrusion of glass fiber reinforced materials;
★ high performance acrylate crosslinker and product line that can give epoxy resin flexibility, impact resistance, high temperature resistance and water resistance;
★ applicable to n3xtdimension engineering liquid for UV curing 3D printing of composite materials. (source: Pt modern plastic)
