IOTA 6862 Self-drying Waterborne Silicone Resin Emulsion


Product describe:

IOTA 6862 is a self-reactive waterborne silicone emulsion prepared using a brand-new process. This product features small particle size, good wettability, excellent freeze-thaw resistance, and a blue-phase appearance. It can naturally dry at room temperature or be accelerated to cure through baking (180–230°C for 30 minutes). It is suitable for various colored anticorrosive coatings, barbecue ovens, mufflers, H-class insulating equipment, and more. This emulsion can withstand temperatures from 200°C to-800°C and can also be blended with compatible acrylic, epoxy, and polyurethane emulsions.


Product features:

a)     Self-reactive system: excellent film-forming performance and strong adhesion;

b)     Small particle size (≤400nm): good penetration and wettability, enhancing coating density;

c)     Excellent freeze-thaw resistance: suitable for various climatic conditions, more stable for transport and storage;

d)     Flexible drying methods: can air-dry at room temperature or bake at low temperature, adaptable to different construction conditions;

e)     High-temperature resistance: can withstand prolonged exposure to 200–800°C;

f)      Good compatibility: can be blended with acrylic, epoxy, polyester, and other emulsion systems to enhance overall performance;

g)     Environmentally friendly water-based system: low VOC, in line with the development trend of green coatings.

Applications:

a)     Anti-corrosion coatings: Suitable for various water-based anti-corrosion coating systems;

b)     High-temperature equipment coatings: Surface protection for barbecue grills, mufflers, exhaust pipes, etc.;

c)     Electrical insulation coatings: Suitable for high-temperature coating of H-class insulated equipment;

d)     Industrial coatings: Can be blended with acrylic, epoxy, and polyester emulsions to enhance weather resistance, heat resistance, and adhesion;

e)     Combining decoration and functionality: Can be formulated in various colors to meet different color and performance requirements.


Packaging, storage and transportation

a)     Packaging: 25/200 kgs drums or customized according to customer requirements.

b)     Storage: Store in a cool, dry place at 5–35°C, sealed, avoiding direct sunlight and high temperatures.

c)     Transportation: Handled as non-hazardous goods; load and unload carefully to prevent packaging damage.

d)     Shelf life: 12 months from the date of production; can still be used if it passes inspection after expiration.


Note:

a)     After opening, be careful to avoid contamination; it is recommended to use it up as soon as possible;

b)     Avoid contact with acids, alkalis, organic solvents, and amines to prevent gelation or performance degradation;

c)     Stir thoroughly before use; slight sedimentation is normal; It is recommended to use in environments between 10–35°C and avoid low temperatures or high humidity during application;

d)     If color adjustment or blending with other emulsions is needed, a small test should be conducted first to confirm compatibility.
