Product Description:

IOTA 6100 is a low-viscosity polymethyl alkyl-functionalized silicone resin.

As a pure methyl, high-reactivity silicone resin, it is recommended for high-temperature-resistant coatings.

It cures under ambient moisture at room temperature and has an inorganic content of 68–72% SiO₂.

It offers fast curing, strong adhesion, and excellent bonding to metals, ceramics, and other substrates.

Applications:

1.    Dilutable with environmentally friendly alcohol solvents such as methanol or ethanol. Forms a high-temperature-resistant coating on metal surfaces, enhancing corrosion resistance. Provides excellent insulation, hydrophobicity, and weather resistance. Coating film withstands continuous use at 350 °C.

2.    Suitable for automotive, motorcycle, and aerospace parts, including exhaust pipes, hard protective crystal coatings, mufflers, engine components, and construction machinery.

3.    Used for industrial and household appliance coatings, including boilers, gas stoves, heat exchangers, household ovens, and fireplaces.

4.    When combined with inorganic pigments and fillers for high-loading coatings, can achieve high-temperature resistance exceeding 600 °C.

Directions for Use:

Dilute before application.

1.    Recommended dilution ratio: 20%–50%, depending on customer requirements.

2.    Can be used as a one-component or two-component system.

One-component: Moisture-cured; requires longer curing time.

Two-component: Addition of catalyst (acid, alkali, or butyl titanate) accelerates curing.

Packaging and Storage:

1.    Packed in 20 kg, 190 kg, or 1000 kg drums; custom packaging available.

2.    Store unopened in original container below 32 °C (90 °F) in a dry place. Avoid direct sunlight, alkaline contamination, and high temperatures.

3.    Shelf life: 18 months under recommended storage conditions.
