Characteristics and Applications
Polysiloxane resins are designed for high-performance anti-corrosion topcoats, developed to maintain the decorative appearance of coated structures over time. Based on their inorganic polymer properties and isocyanate-free, they offer superior gloss and color durability, while also providing corrosion resistance, it can be used in conjunction with the correct anti-corrosion paints. It’s ideal for steel structures requiring durable color and gloss, as well as corrosion protection for topcoats, such as stadiums, airports, exhibition centers, bridges, offshore platforms, tank farms, petrochemical plants, papermaking projects, and the power industry.
Features
Topcoats prepared with IOTA 6800 series resins exhibit excellent gloss and color durability, with excellent retention, and offer superior corrosion protection compared to polyurethane topcoats. Their high solids content allows for high coverage and improved application efficiency.
