The performance of organosilicon can be greatly improved by introducing amino group into the macromolecular chain of polysiloxane. The introduction of amino group can not only form a firm orientation and adsorption with fibers, so that the friction coefficient between fibers decreases, but also can react with epoxy group, carboxyl group and hydroxyl group, so it can be applied to cotton, wool, silk, viscose fiber, polyester, nylon, acrylic fiber and other fibers and their blends. After finishing the fabric, it can obtain excellent softness and resilience, and its feel is soft and plump, smooth and delicate. Generally speaking, the higher the amino content, the better the softness. But higher amino content also means greater yellowing. This is mainly because -- (CH2) NH (CH2) 2NH2 on its side chain has two amine groups (primary amine group and secondary amine group), with a total of three active hydrogen atoms, which is easy to oxidize to form chromophore. This diamine structure has a synergistic effect of accelerating oxidation. Therefore, there must be an optimal balance between amino content and yellowing. Amino - modified organosilicon microemulsion has developed rapidly in recent ten years. Due to the introduction of amino group into the siloxane molecule, the hydrophilicity of siloxane is improved, so the appropriate emulsifier and preparation process can make the microemulsion with particle size less than 0.15μm. Because its particle size is smaller than the wavelength of visible light, there is no resistance to visible light, so it can make the emulsion transparent. It is because the particle size of the microemulsion is only 1/10 of the particle size of the common emulsion, so that the number of effective particles in the microemulsion increases 103 times (if the concentration is the same), the contact opportunity between the microemulsion and the fabric is greatly increased, and the surface of the fabric is well spread, easy to penetrate into the fiber interior. This product therefore gives the fabric a good internal softness, which is also more durable. Microemulsion products generally have better water solubility, storage stability, heat stability and shear stability.
