3. Strong expansibility, which can greatly improve the coverage area of the drug solution on the target object. The coverage area of the drug solution on the leaf and the surface of the insect body determines the level of the drug effect. Because of the strong expansibility of silicone (as described above), it can make the liquid sprayed on the surface of crops, weeds and pests cover a larger area and make the liquid more permeate into the target object to play a role. The comparison results of 0.5% methylabamectin benzoate diluted 2000 times are illustrated as follows: In the five vegetable crops of celery, rape, tomato, cabbage and spring onion, the spreading area of leaf liquid after adding 0.05% organic silicon surfactant was increased by 20-27 times, 34-48 times, 1.4-2.8 times, 50-97 times and 52-95 times respectively compared with the spreading area of leaf liquid diluted with water. From the above comparative test data, we can clearly see that the liquid added with silicone surfactant can multiply the area covered by the liquid on the crop leaves, which is also the important reason why the use of silicone agent can greatly improve the effect of pest control.
