Introduction of silicone waterproofing agent

Silicone waterproofing agent is a new type of non-polluting, non-irritating waterproofing material, which is widely used in advanced countries in the world. After spraying or brushing on the building surface, may realize to the naked eye from forming on the surface of a layer of colorless transparent, resistance to ultraviolet breathable film, as the rain beat upon them or, in case of moist air drops of water flowing naturally, to prevent moisture intrusion, and at the same time can also be washed clean surface dust, building to make interior walls moistureproof, mouldproof, outer wall clean and prevent weathering, and so on.
Silicone waterproofing agent has two properties: water and oil. The waterborne silicone waterproofing agent is colorless or light yellow. It can also play the role of retarder, water reducing agent and reinforcing agent when it is mixed into cement mortar. Therefore, it is suitable for application in the construction industry, exterior wall facing, underground engineering, antique buildings, pools, bricks and tiles, cement, gypsum products and perlite as the main material of insulation materials and rural roof waterproof, moistureproof, anti-pollution treatment. Oily silicone waterproofing agent is transparent, generally used for glaze, ceramic tile, floor tile, ceramics, etc., can be appropriate to add part of the solvent dilution, easy to use.
Waterproof principle
Silicone emulsion water repellent principle: when the silicone emulsion heated to more than 140℃, polysiloxane directional arrangement on the fabric, hydrophobic group CH3 outward, polysilicone oil emulsion silicon atoms, oxygen atoms and some atoms on the fiber to form a valence bond and hydrogen bond, so water vapor, air can pass through the fabric, but water beads can not pass through. The hydroxyl group at the top of the polysilicone oil emulsion chain is grafted with the hydrogen-containing silicone oil, that is, the Si-H bond in the hydrogen-containing silicone oil hydrolyzes to Si-H, and it dehydrates with the hydroxyl group at the end of the silicone oil to grow the branch-shaped chain molecules, and the molecules become larger and softer, which can increase the water resistance. Silicone oil and hydrogen-containing silicone oil were cross-linked on the surface of the fabric at 150-180℃ to form a polysiloxane resin film insoluble in water and solvent. The methyl group faces outwards in the silane structure, resulting in water repellency, membrane discontinuity, and air permeability.
