Why siloxane is not easily destroyed
(1) Compared with C-C bond energy of 344.4kJ/mol, Si-O bond energy is equivalent to 270nm ultraviolet light (422.5kJ/mole), ordinary ultraviolet light of 280-340nm.
(2) the siloxane bond has 50% ionic characteristics, in acid or alkali catalysis easy hydrolysis, the weatherability of the coating benefits from the reversibility of siloxane hydrolysis, the paint film will not be permanently damaged.
(3) 50% to 75% of the silicon elements in the main chain have been oxidized (on average, one silicon atom is connected to two or three oxygen atoms), making it difficult to oxidize the C-C bond in organic polymers. Antioxidant activity and chemical oxidation activity increased significantly.
