C) Sulfur water, dispersant
Siloxanes with hydrophobic organic groups attached to silicon atoms impart the same hydrophobic characteristics to hydrophilic inorganic surfaces, and they are used as long-lasting hydrophobic agents in construction, bridge, and deck applications. They are also used in hydrophobic inorganic powders, allowing them to flow freely and disperse easily in organic polymers and liquids.
D) crosslinking agent
Organic functionalized alkoxy silanes can react with organic polymers, binding tri-alkoxy alkyl groups to the main chain of the polymer. The silanes can then react with water vapor to cross-link the silanes to form stable three-dimensional siloxanes. This mechanism can be used to cross-link plastics, especially polyethylene and other organic resins, such as acrylic resins and polyurethane rubbers, to give paints, coatings and adhesives durability, water resistance and high temperature resistance.
